Write With Us

Pivot Press is an independent publishing house built by authors, for authors, specializing in haremlit, men's adventure, and fusions with progression/LitRPG.

We take fun seriously.

Who We Are

We're a team of people who believe books for men deserve the same level of craft, ambition, and polish as books for women in the same genre. That you shouldn't want but expect real characters, real heat, and storytelling that keeps you up way past your bedtime.

Core Narrative Values

Heroic, or relatable, protagonists
Enthusiastic, clear consent between adult characters
A loving core to the narrative (the amount of romance may vary!)
Supernatural or fantastical aspects
Progression or power growth of the main character and love interests

We write the books the algorithm doesn't want you to find. Bold stories. Real support. Zero BS.

What Working With Us Looks Like

I'm enthusiastic about the things I like, so I'm going to be straight with you: I know exactly what it's like to have a brilliant idea and zero freaking clue how to get it in front of an audience. I did it for years, making just about every mistake it's possible for a writer to make before figuring this stuff out, and I had to do it alone. It sucked.

You shouldn't have to. You should get to learn from my mistakes.

That's what I'm here for. That's what Pivot Press is for.

Here's the pipeline: the first thing we do? Is talk. We talk about your idea, its strengths, and what kind of series you want to build. We make it into something an audience wants to read, we flesh it out, we give it teeth. Once it's real enough to pitch, we put everything together: the genre, the premise, a basic outline of the first installment. The hook that makes your book impossible to scroll past.

We pitch it internally. If Pivot Press believes in it — and if you and I have done our jobs right, we will — you get the greenlight and you turn it into a series.

You make the art. We handle the machine: cover art, genre mentoring and feedback, editing, and promotion. Audio production may be part of our agreements as well. You'll have the team behind Trailer Park Elves and the guy who wrote Pledged to Him behind you, actually giving a damn about making your story the best it can possibly be. Our beta team — made up of fans who are your target audience — will read it and give feedback.

When the book sells, you keep the majority of the revenue after production costs. Pivot covers those upfront. We're not a vanity press: you don't pay out of pocket to publish. We're transparent about every dollar we spend — you'll know exactly where it goes.

What we're looking for: writers who are talented, willing to collaborate, and above all are excited about their chosen genre.

You don't need a huge backlist. You don't need to bring a built-in audience.

You need good ideas, team spirit, and a willingness to put in the work.

Bring me those three things, and I'll help you build a career.

~Neil Bimbeau, Director of Pivot Press Romance Development

Think You've Got What It Takes?

We want to hear from you. Pivot Press is actively looking for writers to develop new series in haremlit, men's adventure, and LitRPG.

You don't need a publishing history or an existing fanbase — you do need a strong voice, good ideas, and the drive to build something cool.

What We'd Like From You:

Your Info

Name (pen name is fine), email, and any relevant links (website, Amazon Author page, Royal Road profile, etc. — optional but helpful).

Your Pitch

Give us your best “elevator pitch” for your series — the spark of the story you're dying to tell. What makes it good? What makes it unputdownable? No more than a few paragraphs. We can handle the Sanderson-style worldbuilding later.

Your Writing

Send us three (3) short writing samples. Minimum of 2,000 words, maximum of 5,000 words each. Show us what you can do when you're firing on all cylinders: action, heat, humor, whatever you do best. If your samples are from the series you're pitching, even better.

All samples must be your OWN work. No AI-generated content.

We want YOUR voice, not ChatGPT's. We're looking for talented human writers to nurture, grow, and help produce great books.

Ready to Apply?

We read every submission. If your work matches what we're looking for, we'll reach out and talk. And if not, we'll let you know how it could be.

Let's make magic together.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance. We attempt to review all submissions within 60 days and will issue an email regardless of the outcome.

We're on the market for up-and-coming authors whose prose is already somewhat polished (Pivot Press provides many services; 1-on-1 English classes are not among them). Authors who submit to us should have a clear, working understanding of HaremLit and its conventions.
